Reader Sr. The deceased was in her 81st year and spent the greater part of her life on Scugog Island where she was well known and had a kind word for every- one. Three years ago on January 2nd Mr and Mrs Reader celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary and the family together with many friends and relative spent an enjoyable evening to- gether. She was laid quietly to rest in the Pine Grove Cemetery, on Saturday, December 15th the grandchildren acting as pall bearers. She leaves to mourn, besidés her sorrowing husband, three daughters, Mrs Chas. Burton, MacGregor, Man.; Mrs Isaac Rodman, Scugog, and Re- becca at home who cared for ber mother with untiring devotion until her last moments; three sons, John and William. on Scugeg, and Eph- raim of Peterboro. Three sisters and three brothers also survive the de- ceased, Many friends and relatives attend- &éd the funeral among whom were: Mr Robt Gamble, Beebe, Mich; Mr. Ephraim Reader, Cass City, Mich; Mr John Cliff, Bad Axe, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs Seymour, Toronto; Mrs Eddie Redman and daughter of Pickering Mr and Mrs Frank Jeffrey, Oshawa; Mr and Mrs Charles Mackie, Oshawa; Mr Ephraim Reader, Peter- boro; Mrs Charles Burton, Mac- Gregor, Man.
