A local merchant tried to buy some in Toronto, but could only secure five bags. "Drummond, of the Redpath Sugar Refinery says that there is really no searcity, but that the refineries are anxious to prevent the sugar supply from falling into the hands of specu- 1ators. Mrs. E.
