Queen Esther Already the scenery and costume committee are busy making prepara- tions for the big Choral Concert to be held in the Town Hall, Port Perry, on the evenings of Thursday and Friday, March sth and 6th. This may . seem like looking a long way ahead, but onc has to when they undertake to dress a king and queen and provide costumes for a company of seventy including nobles, maids of honor, prophets, beggarsand children. Add to that the need of providing suitable surroundings for the royal court, and one has a good idea of the amount of work necessary to give this splendid concert. Good Layers Mr, Fred Kent has some White Wyandottes up at '"Beechcroft" that are making a record laying eggs. "There are rzo pullets and their daily contributibn--about 60 eggs. These pullets are well housed, and ~~ receive excellent care, which accounts in some measure for the profitable re- sults, But don't make any mistake --the pullets were good to start with. Coming Again Rev. Herbert W. Piercy is coming to Port Perry on February 6th in con- nection with the Annual Roll Call of the Baptist Church. He will also be at Greenbank on the sth of February.
