During the currency of the said debentures there shall:be raised by a special rate on all the "rateable property of the said Village of Port Perry, the' sum of $3209.86 for the purpose of paying the amount due in each of the said years-for principal and interest in respect of the said debt according to Schedule B hereto annexed. . 5. That the land buildings plant machinery of the said Canadian Weber Gas Engine Company Limited shall be exempt from all taxes rates assessments other municipal charges includiug busi- ness tax but excepting school rates and rates for local improvements. 6. That this Corporation levy during the current year the sum of $600°to pur chase the site for the aforesaid Canadian Gas Engine Company Limited or a 'less sum if said amount is not necessary. 7. That the Canadian Weber Gas Engine Company Limited sha!l have the right free of cost to tap the mains of this corporation and to use such water as they require free of cost subject to the super- vision of an engineer to be appointed by the Municipal Council and subject to the payment of all costs incurred in making connections and laying mains required specially for the Canadian Cas Engine Company Limited. 8. That the Canadian Gas Engine Company Limited shall have the right free of cost to draw gravel from any gravel pits now owned or hereafter acquired by this Corporation subject to the direction and supervision of the Village engineer appointed for such pur- pose by the Municipal Council. 9. The votes of the electors of the said Village of Port Perry entitled to vote thereon shall be taken on this By-Law at the following times and places, that is 'to say on Monday the 20th day of July 1908 commencing at the hour of nine o'clock in the forenoon and continuing until five o'clock in the afternoon of the same day and by the following deputy returnjng officers at the places named-- Polling subdivision No. 1 at J. H. Brown's office by J. H. Brown D.R.O.% Polling subdivision No. 2 at the Town Hall by G. J. Morrish D.R.O. Polling subdivision No. 3 at the old school house by Nicholus Ingram D.R.O. 10. On Saturday the 18th day of July 1908 the Reeve shall attend at his own office at ten o'clock in the forenoon to appoint persons to attend at the various polling places aforesaid and at the final summing up of the votes by the Clerk on behalf of the persons interested in and promoting or opposing the passing of the by-law respectively. 11. The Clerk of the Council of the said Village of Port Port Perry shall attend at his office at ten o'clock a.m. Tuesday the 21st July 1908 to sum up the number of votes for and against the by-law. The following Schedule gives in each column respectively the year, the amount of principal due, the amount of interest' payable, the amount of principal payable and the total payment due in each "year in each case. AND WHEREAS the Corporation de- sires that the aforesaid Factory be lo- cated in the aforesaid village of Port Perry afd further desires to assist the Limited Company (when chartered) to erect equip and operate the Factory in Port Perry by guaranteeing not over $40,000 worth of Bonds of the aforesaid Limited Com sany (when chartered), AND WHEREAS the Manager and the President desire that the aforesaid Limited Company (when chartered) shall build and sell in Canada under Weber Pateats similar machines to those manu- factured and sold by the said The Weber Gas Engine Company of Kansas City. ' THE said ind¢btedness incurred or to be incurred by the Corporation shall not exceed for principal and interest the sum of $40,000 and the amount: thereof shall be reduced, and~the Bonds to be guaranteed shall be paid by the proposed Company at the rat€ of at least one twentieth of the whole amount of "prin- cipal, money and interest annually from the giving of the guaranty or otherwise in accordance with the Municipal Act.
