The display features more than 70,000 lights, miles of extension cords and many handcrafted displays. It all began when Jackson was a boy helping his father decorate the house, and has grown over the past 40-plus years. Many of the decorative features that adorn the 113features that adorn the 113f McCraney St. W. (west of Sixth Line) home are hand- crafted by Jackson himself. Those visiting the display can take in the show from their vehicles listening to the light co-ordinated carols Jackson transmits through their car radio at 90.5 FM. The holiday display set- up begins each Thanksgiv- ing weekend with family and friends helping with the massive undertaking, total- ling close to 300 hours. Over the years, the display has grown and evolved as new items are added, including a vintage Santa sleigh that visitors are encouraged to take photos of their children seated in. Front and centre is a bin where Jackson collects non- perishable food items for the Kerr Street Mission FoodKerr Street Mission FoodK Bank as well as Santa's mailbox for donations for both ROCK (Reach Out Cen- tre for Kids) and the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foun- dation.
