Graham Paine/Torstar KEYS TO THE TOWN Halton police are looking for one man fol- lowing break-ins to two Oakville businesses dur- ing the early morning hours of Monday, Dec. 9. Officers said an individ- ual approached a salon in the Dundas Street East and Prince Michael Drive area and smashed the front glass door. The intruder stole com- puter equipment and around $1,000 in cash. The individual then went to a second nearby sa- lon and forced open the front door.front door.f It is unclear at this time what if anything was sto- len from this second busi- ness. Both salons were closed at the time of the break-ins. The suspect is de- scribed as wearing jeans, white sneakers, a black zip up jacket and a grey toque. Police are also looking for the individual respon-for the individual respon-f sible for breaking into a home on Pinevalley Cres- cent. At some point between Nov. 22 and Dec. 9, while the homeowner was away on vacation, someone pried open the residence's rear door, police said. The intruder ransacked the bedrooms and closets and stole around $13,000 worth of jewelry. No suspect description is available.
