The Christmas season has a miraculous ability to lift people from normal routines, into the people that we would like ourselves to be, all year round. Strangers greet each other rather than looking away, doors are held, cars are let into traffic, people dig deep into their pockets and purses to donate to economically challenged folks. In a couple of weeks preparing our homes for Christmas will be replaced by carefully packing away the decorations until next year. Some of us will begin diets to try and lose some of what we packed away during the holidays. And unfortunately, the world will largely return to normal. The Spirit of Christmas doesn't have to hibernate for another 11 months. We don't need to pack away the generosity, the tolerance and the general goodwill that are all associated with this season. Keep that inner glow you receive at Christmas Eve service rekindled, by attending the Church of your choice a couple of times per month. You'll see what a difference it makes in your family's life! Have a truly Blessed Christmas! Rev.
