Full Text

Was taken from his family and friends on Christmas Day to be with his family and friends in Heaven. Brian was one of three sons of Sydney and Genevie (McDowell) Thomas. Predeceased by his older brother Donald and is survived by his younger brother Gary of Beaverton, Oregon. Brian is survived by his wife Dorothy (Ritchie) 2 weeks short of their 55th Wedding Anniversary. Beloved father of Dwight, Carrie (Derek), and Scott (Melanie). Dearly loved to see and be with his grandchildren Jesse and Summer. Brian worked at Timberjack Machines Woodstock for 38 years. He loved to fish, play, coach, watch hockey and eventually becoming an armchair coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Brian looked forward to the yearly McDowell Reunion since a young age, loved to camp with family and friends. Took many trips to visit family and friends in Ontario, the United States, England, and Scotland. Cherished afternoon drives with no time limit or places to go. Loved to laugh and hearing others laugh. Aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends will greatly miss Brian.
