What originally began as an online shop selling eco-friendly, Canadian-made goods has recently expanded into a brick and mortar business in Milton. "I didn't intend to have a zero-waste business. It's just been my life- Style," says-Laura. "| started my journey to sustainability many years ago and | realized that for others to incorporate it in their lives, they will need these items to be accessible to them." The Kind Matter Co carries a wide range of everyday products such as reusable bulk food bags, bamboo cutlery, reusable paper towels, natural soaps, ethical and sustainable (slow) fashion pieces, and much more. "It's the perfect one-stop-shop for unique, green items. It also features refill stations, where you can restock hand soap, shampoo, and cleaning supplies. "I feel a huge pull to have refills avail- able to people where they can bring their own containers, instead of having to purchase new packaging for items they already have - this isn't a service | could have with just an online store," Laura says. "When it comes to the products we focus on and sell, many of them come from local artisans and small Canadian businesses.
