The inaugural meeting will take place on Friday, Jan. 25, at Cora Restaurant, 65 On- tario St. S., at 7:30 a.m. Christianmen and women involved in business or the professions - from those in- volved in real estate or insur- ance to business owners, CEOs and entrepreneurs -are invited to attend the breakfast meeting. Canadian Christian Busi- ness Federation (CCBF) exec- utive director Keith Knight describes the organization "like a Canadian Christian chamber of commerce." He reports that growth within the 35-year-old organization has been incredible over the past eight years. "We have grown from seven chapters seven years ago to more than 50 today, from Vancouver to PEL" He says the national mem- bership reflects a diversity of ageand denominational affili- ation. The new Milton chap- ter will hold free monthly breakfast meetings; the only costisthebreakfast you order. They generally last an hour and they're a place for business leaders to talk about business issues from a bibli- cal perspective using a five- year curriculum of discus- sionmaterials. They deal with issues such as integrity, cour- age and risk-taking, team building, time management, power and influence, leader- ship, self-discipline, and con- flict management. Knight will be the featured speaker at the inaugural meeting on Jan. 25. "Ourfocus is primarily on leadership development. We aren't there to evangelize nor to network, though the net- working and mutual support is a natural result of the meet- ings. We work in partnership with local churches."
