Colette was the open- ing night gala feature. Set dur- ing the darkest days of the Irish Famine, the film fol- lows the structure of a classic revenge western as a newly-returned Irish soldier named Feeney (James Frecheville) hunts down those responsible for the deaths of his fami- ly members, while a dis- graced former compatriot (Hugo Weaving) is com- pelled to hunt him in turn.
