Born in Ballymoney Northern Ireland, David immigrated to Toronto in June 1966. A Skilled master carpenter, trained in the old world tradition, David worked hard and found success in Canada. He purchased a partnership in a flooring business on the Lakeshore in Toronto and provided a plentiful fife for his family, including a beautiful home in the outskirts of Mifton. David is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Kathy (nee Briggs), his much-loved sons Colin (Joey) and Paul (Kate). David was a warm and attentive grandfather to Nathan and Matthew. Also survived by his brother Willis (Dorothy) in Northern Ireland and sister Margaret McQuillan (Andrew). David was predeceased by his grandchildren John and Elizabeth. David poured his life and energies into selflessly helping others. He is fondly remembered as a hardworking man that could fix anything. He changed a lot of peoples' lives for the better. Like most, he knew joy and tragedy but faced each with dignity and grace. He will be greatly missed.
