Dear Editor, On Christmas Eve, with the help of friends and families from STQI Milton Kdng'Fu Mar- tial Arts School and contributions and sup- port from Longo's in Mliton, we gathered in the Longo's loft kitchen. There, we sliced two turkeys, heated up and packed dinner arid dessert for up to 15 peo- ple, who found shelter from crisis at Halton Women's Place (HWP). The staff working at HWP's Milton shelter a 2 ~ Cooking up holiday =k fork greeted us and accepted our donation of a warm meal, desserts and gingerbread houses for the kids to decorate. They were very ap- preciative of the gesture. We were informed that on this day, the facil- ity was at capacity. In that moment -- and forever -- we will hope to remember that small gestures from people can make a larger contribution to the well-being of our fellow humans, #WVe wish to thank Adam and the other Lon- go's staff members who helped us with this community service activity.
