SUCGESSFUL SUNDAY SCHOOL CONVENTION Held at Harrowsmith for the Townships of Loughboro and Portland. Harrowsmith, June 21.--A very successful Sunday school convention was held on Friday last in Harrow- smith United Church for the town- ships of Loughboro. and Portland. The president of-the Association is Mr. Earl Léonard, and the secretary- treasurer, Mrs. Fred Dennis. Mr. Leonard presided at the afternoon session which opened at 2.30, At this session reports of the various departments of the Sunday schools of the townships were received and the Sunday school chart was read and explained by the Rev. Mr. Dan- fels, of Toronto, departmental repre- sentative of the Ontario Religious Educational Council. The session was held at 7.30 and was opened by Mr. Earl Campsall. Three excellent addresses were delivered, one by Mrs. E. Brawley, secretary of the W.C.T.U. of Sydenham. Mrs, Braw- ley emphasized marshalling the wo- men vote on the side of prohibition in connection with the coming pro- vinclal election. Rev. Mr. McMullen, of Vancouver, B.C., gave an address on the training of character in the home, and the Rev. Mr. Daniels, of Toronto, also spoke in a most inter- | esting and instructive way on the tralping of the character.
