Mr. Dine was a former member of the firm of Attwood & Dine, which firm dissolyed partnership a short time ago, He has taken over the business completely and removed from the stand formerly occupied by Attwood & Dine. the new hotel site being on the property where that building was sitnated. Mr. Dine's new station, while off the route of congested trafic, is ideally situated and convenient and the best service and attention that can be given is assured those who visit the station for tire repairs or to secure acces sories. AT 'CITY COUNCIL MEETING. At the special meeting of the City Council tield on 'Friday aight, an ap- plication was received from .the Checker Taxi Service to transfer their gasoline pump from their pre- sent premises on Clergy street, to "On motion of Alds. Kent and J. E. Johnston, the request was granted, subject to the supervision and ap- proval of the ¢ity engineer. £ Ald. Laturney said there was a by- law that no more pumps be slowed on the streets, and he had no objec- tion, so long as the pump was not allowed on the street, as others had asked for this privilege, and has been turned down. - The claim of the Walker Bus Sét- vice, for damages to a spring, while driving on Ontario street, was re- ferred to the Board of Works. The application of Saunders Elec- trical company, for the erection of an electrical sign, and that of Hugh Cook, for the placing of a gasoline pump at Hickson Avenue and Mont real street, were referred to the Board of Works. -------- NEW REO BUS.
