Ryan's, Ha rtington. Hartington, March 5.--On Thurs- day evening the event of the season took place at the home of Earl Ryan, when he gave an oyster supper to the patrons of his cheese factory and their wives. About one hundred guests sat down to a bountiful re- past. The evening was spent in music, games, cards and dancing. All had a very enjoyable time, declaring Mr. and Mrs. Ryan ideal hostesses. Word was rxeceived here of the death of Mrs. Vina Dool at her son's residence, in California. They form- erly resided here. Many from here attended the funeral, on' Tuesday, of Mrs.' Hester Sigsworth, Pleasant Valley. Neil Pixley, Sydenham, is visiting at Mrs. Goslin's. The rela- tives of the late Mrs. Jane Freeman met the body at Harrowsmith, on Wednesday, and accompanied it to the vault. Messrs.
