Following an operation for ap- pendicitis the death occurred in De- troit, Mich., of Lawrence Sweeney, son of Mr. and the late Mrs. John Sweeney; Sheenboro, Que., across the river from Pembroke. Besides the | comedy .of the various faculty acts, there were some pleasing quartettes and Instrumental selections given by students who are past masters in their art. The cast.was well sup- pofted by the college orchestra which rendered many excellent selec- tions in a very able manner.
