A very pleasing and Interesting part of the programme was when Master Franklin Cowan came for: ward and ably read the following address: "We, the children of your school, do not wish this joyful Christmas season to pass without telling you how happy we are to he your pupils. Dear Miss O'Meara, we | know we are often not as good as| you would like us to be: we are of- ten not as- good as we ourselves would like to be, and we are very sorry because of it, But now, dear teacher, if you will only accept this little present which we with our little savings and great big love, | have purchased for you we will know that all our faults are forgiven and we shall try, try oh! so hard, to do everything you wish us to do next term and to be good little boys and girls." Miss O'Meara although greatly surprised at being made the recipl- ent of such gifts, replied 'thanking the donors in her usual clever man- ner. Santa Claus then arrived sc very real, and the beautiful Christ- mas tree was stripped of its load-of gifts and a most enjoyable evening was brought to a close by the sing- ing of the National Anghem.
