The announcement is made in the Quebec Provincial Gazette, which States that a charter to a company capitalized about $49,000, has been granted. The new company is to be known @s the Laurier Park Jockey | Club, and is incorporated by Messrs. J. Caron, George Montpetit, BE. 'inqmars, J. Barnaby, J. P. Coul- son and W, Flanagan. While the object of the company as announced in the incorporation notice is stated to be the promotion of horse breed- ing, riding, driving, racing and polo it is understood it really means the creation of a half mile track, in con- junction with similar organizations in Montreal. The first half of the N.H.L. race 'will be decided on Saturday night, when Canadiens go to Ottawa for the final game of the series. Both teams are tied and the winner of this game wil have the right to play off in the final. George Kennedy, of the Cana- diens,stated last night that the Flying Frenchmen would achieve the unex- pected, they would beat the Senators right in Ottawa. Manager Quinn, of Quebec, declared that if his team can ; only shake the hoodoo that is stalk- ing them they will defeat the St. Pats on Saturday night at Quebec.
