"Those Four Girls" will be retain- ed for the change of programme -at the Grand to-night and Thursday, matinee and night, It has been a long trime since a single act has re- gistered such a hit at the Grand, and these four charming young ladies merit all their popularity, for they ate that is out of the ordinary. They have promised to sing some new songs for to-night and Thursday, The feature picture is 4lso well above the usual run. It is nothing less than "The Marriage Market," an unusual five-reel Brady-made World picture, featuring Carlyle Blackwell and June Elvidfge. This is a thoroughly en- tertaining story of New York society people. It moves swiftly, it is spien- didly acted, the indoor, scenes are superbly staged, the outdoor scenes are beautiful and interesting and the story itself is modern, unusual and crammed with incident. It is an attention well worth seeing. At Griffin's, -To-night will be the Tast oppor- tunity to see our wonder phqgtoplay, "The Spy," with the remarkable act- or, Dustin Farnum, This is a thril- ling and entertaining picture, show- ing many Interesting phases of the Spy system in Germany, and also the torture méted out to those who turn traitor. This picture alone is well worthy the price of admission and has never been seen outside of King- ston at less than one dollar prices. Vivian Martin, the beautiful little "sunshine star," will also be shown this dyening in "The Fair Barbar- fan," one of the best of Miss Mar- tin's career. Don't miss this pro- gramme, which. also includes the! third episode of "Vengeance and the | Woman." At the Strand. Movie fans will have their last chance to-night of seeing the excel: lent double feature bill which de- lighted a large audience at this popular playhouse last evening. Dor- othy Dalton was seen at her best in "The Price Mark," a sensational love story lald in a gay art colony. Miss Dalton is seen as a truftler in this story of exotic love, thrilling aven- tures and hair-raising suspense that stretches from far-off Cairo to New York's Latin quarter. William 8. Hart in "Hoofs and Horns," comedy and topicalgreels were also shown and well received. For the last three days of this week Madame Petrova will be seen in the first of her own productions, "Daughters of Destiny." Hands Up!" And be quick abbut it. One false move and you're a dead man. This order bared at one of the bad men; and the thrilling scene that follow- ed, is one of the hair-raising inci- dents in "The Mystery Ship," at the King Edward to-night and Thurs- day. Usual admission. (Continued on Page 5.) MAY TAKE B.A. HOTEL And Turn it Into a Hostel for Re- turned Soldiers, 5 There is a big possibility that the British-American hotel building will be taken over by the Salvation Army and used as a hostel for returning soldiers. The Whig learns that one of the reasons for the visit of Com- missioner Richards to the city on Tuesday was to make arrangements for the establishment of a hostel here. He had the Salvation Army architect prepare a report on the ad- visability of the plan. . At present there are few places in which a soldier can sleep if he is a stranger in the city and does not tare to go to a hotel. A hostel would do this work and also cater to the social side of work for the sal- diers. Nurses' Violet Day.
