M. Waters of India was the speaker in Convocation Hall on Sun- day afternoon, and presented the problems of that country with cog- ency and vividness. He outlined the work of the medical missionary in aiding the natives and pointed out the opportunities for service in such a wide field. The very diversity of ml. {the population both in caste and re- ligion makes it a place where much good may be accomplished and where the returns amply justify the labor and effort expended. His account of various incidents during his fourteen years' work in India were enlighten- ing, and showed the peculiarities of the people who are waiting and call- ing for the gospel of CHrist.
