YEAR 77-NO. 185 KINGSTON, ONTARIO, THURSDAY, AUGUST 15, 1910, ; mie NOT T0 PROBE Operation Is Not Con- sidered Necessary T0 SAVE HIS LIFE NO INFECTION 'MANIFESTED IN MAYOR GAYNORW'S WOUND. ~ ---- Medical Men After Consultation De- cide Not to Remove the Pieces of the Split Bullet--Likely to be Swift Justice in New Jersey. Hoboken, NJ. Aug. 11.-Unless in- lection manifests iteell there will be no operation to remove the split bul lot from Mayor Uaynor's throat. This was sgreed on by the doctors in at- tendance to-day, following & second inspection of the X-ray plates taken yesterday afternoon. It was stated that it was most re " markable that the pieces of lead could have landed where they did without severing important blood vessels. In order to get them out it would he necessary to cut in among veins and arteries, with the probability of a loss of blood that would weaken the pati- ent. To avoid this it was agreed that there wonlld be no probing, unless the mayor's temperature rises, or there are outward indications that infection is present in the wound, To Get Jersey Justice.
