CIPRICK, Patricia Ann On Wednesday, January 9, 2019, Patricia Ann Ciprick of Toronto passed away of heart failure at the age of 80 years. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. They spent 16 years in Oakville, Ontar io and then moved their family to Kamloops, BC in 1979 before Pat returned to Ontario in 2007. Pat enjoyed golfing, travelling and spending time with her good friends. She loved, and was very proud of her family. A Celebration of Pat's Life was held at Kilgour Estates, 20 Burkebrook Place, Toronto on Saturday, January 12th, where everyone was welcome to share stories. HAIGHT Melba Haight Wrightman (nee Skerrett), passed away peacefully Thursday, January 10, 2019, at the age of 97. Born January 31, 1921 in the newly incorporated Village of Crystal Beach, Melba was a proud longtime resident of Oakville, and a member of Saint Jude's Anglican Church. She is lovingly remembered by daughters and sons-in-law Sandra and Jim Swann and Wendy and Bob Strickert, and as a "Nana" to seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and as "Aunt Melba" to special nephews Garry and Brian Skerrett. Melba was predeceased by husbands John Haight and Harry Wrightman and by special friend, Lyn Davies. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life event will be announced in the spring. In lieu of flowers, hug your mother! POSCHMANN, Jorgen Anthon Aged 91 of Oakville, Ontario passed away peacefully on December 18, 2018 after months of wishing his heart would work better than it was. Born in 1927 in Copenhagen, Denmark, Jorgen trained as a master potter and ceramics engineer in Denmark, Germany and the US. He met the love of his life, Erla, while on a ski trip in Iceland in 1950. He persuaded her to follow him to the US where they married on October 27, 1951 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Jorgen and Erla came to Oakville in 1953 and five years later he founded The Pottery Supply House (PSH) where he worked until retirement. After retirement, Jorgen travelled the world as a volunteer advisor for CESO and CIDA, advising on materials, equipment and processes for improving commercial ceramics production. Jorgen was an accomplished potter and sailor. Jorgen and Erla were amongst the first of the Oakville Scott ish Country Dance Society members and hosted many a lively dance party at their home of 60 years. Jorgen is predeceased by his sister and his granddaughter. He is survived by his wife Erla, his daughters Anne (Doug) and Lotte (Paul), his sons Paul (Wendy), Gunnar (Cherry), Eric (Monica) and Finn (Heidi), his eight grandchildren Soren (Becky), Brett (Dara), Max (Jaela), Sean, Christian, Kenzie, Ainsley and Lachlan, and two great-grandchildren, Maisie and Leif. She worked for over 40 years in banking and payroll and was a Girl Guide leader for many years. She was a British history and royalty trivia whiz, a figure skating fan and she loved wrapping and giving beautiful gifts, especially at Christmas. She loved visiting her favourite stores in Collingwood over the last few years.
