Vehicles and other valu- ables were stolen during a recent spree of residential break and enters, which oc- curred in the Sixth Line and QEW area. At least five break-ins took place late in the eve- ning of Wednesday, Aug. 1 or during the early morning hours of Thursday, Aug. 2. Suspect(s) targeted three homes on Osborne Crescent with break-ins also reported on Truman Avenue and Germorda Drive. The intruder(s) entered the homes through un- locked rear doors, garages with connecting doors to homes and even a kitchen window in one instance. The individual(s) stole a laptop computer from one residence, and sunglasses, cash and a phone charger from another. At one Osborne Crescent dwelling the thieves stole three cellphones, a DJ set, phone and laptop chargers and then stole a Nissan Pathfinder and a Nissan Al- tima from the driveway. The Nissan Altima was found on the same street with some damage. The Nissan Pathfinder was located elsewhere in Oakville a short time later. On some occasions resi- dents were home, but did not know the suspects were present. At other times the homes were empty. No suspect descriptions are available for any of these incidents at this time. Police have not com- mented on whether these break-ins are connected.
