Halton police are investigating after a safe was stolen from an Oakville home dur- ing a Sunday, June 24 break-in. At some point between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m., someone entered the Tracina Drive resi- dence through a backdoor, which may not have been closed properly, police said. The intruder made their way to a spare room closet from which they removed a small safe containing passports, jewelry, various documents and U.S. currency. While the residents were home at the time of the break-in no one heard anything. No suspect description is available at this time.
