A great young man. I would like to nominate Clayton Marshall for Oakville Beaver Carrier of the Year. Clayton has been our carrier for the past 3 years and we can always count on receiving our Beaver without fail. We look forward to reading the Beaver as we have been residents of Oakville for the past 24 years and we enjoy catching up on what is going on in Oakville. However, being a dependable carrier is just one thing but being a good person is another matter. In early January my wife suffered a serious life threatening medical emergency. She end- ed up being in hospital for 9 weeks. During that time I was visiting the hospital every day and trying to keep a household of 3 daugh- ters going. We had a number of significant snowfalls during that period and on each occasion I came home, not looking forward to shovelling out, and found my driveway was shovelled. Each time it was Clayton that walked down the street to my house and did my shovelling for me. I did not know it was Clayton because he did not make a point of telling me. It was my next door neighbour that told me. I believe that being a good Car- rier for the Beaver extends to being a decent person willing to help others.
