Wedding Bells. COUTTS--SOUTHAM,--On Wednesday, Jan. 31st, at the home of Mrs. James Southam was solemnized the marriage of her daughter Etta Emily, to Mr. Jas. Coutts, of Davidson, Sask. At six o'clock the bride entered the parlor to the strains of Lohengrin's wedding march, played by Mrs. Joseph Southam. Accompanied by her brother, Mr. Joseph Southam, she met the groom, who was awaiting her under an arch of evergreens and white flowers. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. Honey of Bobcaygeon. The bride looked lovely in a dress of biscuit colored silk, trimmed with satin folds of a little deeper shade, and wore a wreath of orange blossoms in her hair. After the signing of the register the bride and groom were conducted to the diningroom, which was tastefully decorated with evergreens and white ribbon and where a sumptuous repast awaited them. The table was in the shape of an L and filled the centre of the room, while the bride's cake adored the angle of it and was immediately in front of the bride's and groom's chairs. During supper time a number of the young people formed an impromptu orchestra for the occasion and furnished very acceptable music. After supper the bride changed her wedding dress for one of navy blue silk and the remainder of the evening was spent in games and amusements. The guests, which numbered about sixty were present from Bobcaygeon, Fenelon Falls, and the surrounding vicinity. The gifts were both numerous and costly, remembrances of friends from Toronto, Michigan, and the West were among the others, testifying to the esteem in which the bride was held by her many friends. The groom's gift to the bride was a handsome Canadian mink muff. The happy couple will leave for their new home in Davidson, Sask., on Monday, Feb. 12th, the bride travelling in a brown lady's cloth suit, trimmed with brown satin and black panne-velvet hat trimmed with black plumes. Their many friends join in wishing the young couple all happiness and prosperity.
