Wedding Bells
A very pretty home wedding took place
at the residence of Mr. and Mr. John Jordan,
West Ops, yesterday at three o'clock, being
the marriage of their youngest daughter Addie
to Mr. John L. Porter of Manvers. The
ceremony was performed by Re. S. McCauley
of Oakwood, in the presence of a large number
of invited guests. The bride looked very
pretty in a gown of cream stain suitably trim-
med, and carried a handsome boquet of bridal
roses. She was assisted by Miss Hogg
of Oakwood and Miss Maggie Sinclair of
Cambray. The little Misses Lillian and Pearl
Jordan, nieces of the bride, acted as maids of
honor. The groom was supported by Mr. N.
L. Jordan and Dr. Porter, brother of the groom.
At the conclusion of the interesting ceremony
all repaired to the handsomely decorated din-
ing-room, where a rich wedding repast was
partaken of. The presents were numerous,
costly and handsome, the bride being very
popular among a large circle of friends. Mr.
and Mrs. Porter left on the evening train for a
short trip among the Thousand Islands, follow-
wed by the best wishes of numerous friends for
future happiness and prosperity, in which THE
WATCHMAN joins.
