Feb. 2 2. ' . Minister Pleased. . } --__"The Minister of Highways express-- ed pleasure at the attitude of both associations, and hoped that therei would be no necessity of withdrawing the license from any of the trans-- porters. | '"A further report will be made by . both associations to the Minister in two weeks, at which time it is ex-- pected that the difficulties between these two important factors in the milk situation will have been finally and definitely removed. "The milk transporters also wish to state that a somewhat misleading im-- pression was created in the morning papers of Fceb. 20 by the report that their association had agreed to a cut of 20 per cent. on all milk routes. Such an agreement would be imprac-- tical, as many of the routes are at present carrying rates which could not be reduced by such an amount. The 20 per cent. cut is recognized as a maximum adjustment, and obviously could not be applied in a general way. The transporter and his farmers will continue to set their own rates, with the usual recommendations of their respective associations."
