Mr. George Jordan of Lindsay was in town last Tuesday.

Mr. H. B. Black, manager of the Lindsay branch of the Bank of Montreal, who with his family has spent the summer at his cottage on Cameron Lake, returned to Lindsay on Saturday.

Miss Bessie Nie left on Monday for Orillia.

Miss Annie Nie has returned to her school at Fort William.

Miss Margaret Twomey is visiting friends at Montreal.

Mr. George Martin and family have returned from their cottage across Cameron Lake.

His Honor Judge Harding of Lindsay was at the Falls last Tuesday.

Mrs. Henderson of Lindsay visited her daughter, Mrs. Thos. Sadler, last week.

Cadet Sergeant May Ellery of the Salvation Army Training School, Toronto is visiting relatives in town.

Mrs. Carl Smith and family have left for their home at Hartford, Conn.

Mr. Arnold McGee is in Toronto attending the Exhibition.

Mr. Blake Curtis and Miss Bertha Curtis left on Tuesday to attend the Toronto Exhibition, and to visit Hamilton relatives.

Mrs. L. Townley, with her son Edgar, went to Toronto on Monday.

Miss Edith Townley has been visiting in Toronto for the past week.

Miss Lydia Seabert who has been visiting Mrs. Dr. Hamilton on Cameron Lake returned to Chicago last Saturday.

Mrs. A. McFarland and Mrs. R. N. Mitchell, have been visiting Toronto friends and attending the Exhibition.

Miss Margaret Wilson is attending Normal School at Toronto.

Mrs. J. H. Stanton and Master Gordan Stanton went to Toronto on Tuesday to visit Mrs. Stanton's brother and attend the Exhibition.

Dr. J. C. Berry and Mrs. Berry of Chicago were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. Heard for the weekend.

Miss Margaret Little returned to Lakefield on Tuesday after spending a few days with friends at the Falls.

Mr. Alex. Spence spent the week-end at Peterboro.

Mr. Joseph Carley is home from Midland.

Rev. H. B. Kenny of Bowmanville spent a few days renewing acquaintances in town last week.

Mr. Norman Martin and a party of friends took a motor trip through a number of neighboring towns last Sunday.

Miss May Jones and Miss Albert Jones who have been visiting their uncle, Mr. John Jones, are leaving on Saturday for Peterboro.

Mr. Jbhn McNeice of the Mickle & Dyment Co. after bringing his drive safely through from the north left last Friday for his home at Gravenhurst.

Overseer Jno. Jones of the Department of Fish and Game made a trip to Lake Scugog last week in connection with some infractions of the game laws. Mr. Jones says the ducks appear to be quite plentiful all along the waters.

Mr. Thomas Jermyn, the popular foreman of the Mickle & Dyment Co., has almost completed storing one of the largest and finest drives of logs ever brought down the Gull River waters. The logs will be cut at the local mill of the company.

The Misses Holmes of Lindsay were guests of Mrs. M. H. McCallum for a few days last week.

Mr. P. C. Burgess, for a number of years assistant at the local power house, has resigned. The vacancy has been filled by the appointment of Mr. A. W. Quibell.

Miss Belle Abottt left last week to teach school at Parry Sound.

Miss Reta Arnold, of the St. Louis, (Mo.) General Hospital, who has been visiting her parents for a couple of weeks, returns to St. Louis next Monday.

Miss Emily Nie was in Lindsay last week.

Miss Helen Cogan, who has been visiting the Misses Hand, returned to Ottawa on Friday.

Miss Lillian Corbett and Master Marvin Corbett have returned from a visit to Meaford and Barrie friends.

Captain Poole, S. A., of Toronto, formerly of the local staff of officers is renewing acquaintances at the Falls.

Mr. Thomas Robson spent the week in Toronto.

Mr. Ross Junkin of Toronto accompanied his father on his visit to the Falls last week.

Rev. C. S. Lord will visit Valcartier camp next week.
