A WEDDING ON SHERBOURNE STREET. - A quiet wedding took place last night at the residence of Mr. Geroge A. Cox, Sherbourne street, when Miss Minnie youngest daughter of Mr. Cox, was united to Mr. Alfred Earnest Ames, Manager of the Ontario Bank at Lindsay. The ceremony was performed at 9 o'clock by Rev. F. H. Wallace of Victoria University, assisted by Rev. W. Ames, after which the guests sat down to a wedding dinner. The bridesmaids were Miss Mercer of Peterboro; Miss Donnelly, Belleville; and Miss Morrow, Peterboro, the groom being supported by Mr. Fred Scott of this city. Among those present were Rev. Dr. and Mrs. Potts, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Darling, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Plummer, Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Jaffray, Mr. P. E. Walker, Rev. Dr. and Mrs. Stafford, Rev. Dr. and Mrs. Dewart, Mr. and Mrs. John Bertram, and a large number of friends and relatives from Petrolia and Belleville. The presents were very numerous, including a grand piano, a silver service, epergne, etc. The young couple left on the 11:15 train for the west, and on their return will take up their residence in Lindsay. - Toronto Globe May 31st
