SCOTT, Jonathan Earle - It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden and tragic loss of a dedicated and loving son, husband, father and grandfather. Jonathan Earle Scott of Tillsonburg passed away on February 11, 2019, at the age of 61. Jonathan was born to Douglas Scott and the late Dorothy Scott (nee Smith, 2014). He leaves behind his loving wife and best friend of 40 years, Wanda Helen Scott (nee Arthur). Proud and generous father of Ryan (Rona) Scott of Otterville and Maggie (Craig) Dunford of Lyons. Exceptionally devoted grandfather of Astin, Lex, Ava, and Alissa Scott; and Lainey and Addie Dunford. Also survived by sister-in-law Barb Scott of Woodstock (the late Paul Scott, 2016) and father-in-law Keith Arthur of Otterville (the late Betty, 2018). Predeceased by an infant brother David (1954). He was the founder of Jonathan E. Scott, Chartered Professional Accountant, Professional Corporation, which will be proudly carried on by his daughter Maggie Dunford, CPA, CGA. He was also a cherished member of Tillsonburg Alliance Church. Jonathan will be remembered as a well-respected, phenomenal, fun-loving person and a wonderful, caring father. He loved travelling with Wanda; appreciated nostalgia, as evidenced by his baby blue VW Bug; and enjoyed music, especially playing his baby grand piano. To commemorate Jonathan’s life, a Complete Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Tillsonburg Alliance Church, 270 Quarter Town Line, with Pastor Paul Robinson officiating, assisted by Rev. Paul Woodburn. Friends and family will be received at visitation on Thursday, February 14th from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at MAURICE J. VERHOEVE FUNERAL HOMES-BURIAL AND CREMATION SERVICES INC. , 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg. An hour of visitation will also precede the service on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association in memory of Jonathan would be appreciated by the family. Personal condolences and favourite memories would be genuinely welcomed and may be shared at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com
