Johnston, Eric Blandford and Boehm, Barbara Anne (Married)

At St. Andrew's Church, Grimsby, at 3 o'clock, Saturday, June 14th, the wedding took place of Barbara Anne, daughter of Mrs. Boehm and the late Mr. William Ralph Boehm, Grimsby, and Dr. Eric Blandford Johnston, of King. The Rev. E.A.Brooks officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her bother, Mr. Ralph Medland Boehm.

The bride was gowned in snowdrop Chantilly lace and nylon tulle over taffeta, with a portrait neckline and bouffant skirt extending to a circular train. Her tulle illusion veil was caught by a brim of tulle, trimmed with seed pearls and lilies-of-the-valley. She carried a cascade of lilies-of-the-valley and fleur d'amour. The attendants were gowned alike in delicate pink nylon tulle, with winged pannier skirts and embroidered bodices. They wore headdresses with tiny flared brims on pink tulle trimmed with flowers matching their bouquets.They were Mrs. Ralph M. Boehm, Grimsby matron of honour; Mrs. John Neil, Toronto, and Mrs. John Milks, Montreal.

Mr. Peter W. Shenston, Toronto was the best man. Ushering were Messrs. Geoffrey W. Smith, John Neil and Don Vokes, Toronto, and Mr. Graeme Ferrier, Mimico. Mrs. D. McIntosh was organist, and Mrs. Gordon Hadler, soloist.

The reception was held at the Casa Blanca restaurant on the Queen Elizabeth Way. The bride's mother received in a violet crepe gown with lace bodice and matching pink accessories, and wearing an orchid corsage. The groom's mother wore watermelon pink shantung with black accessories, and a corsage of Rapture roses.

For going away the bride wore a suit of pink orchid shade, matching French hat and natural accessories with a rosette corsage of roses, for the wedding trip to Virginia Beach, Va. They will reside at 699 Eglington Avenue West, Toronto.
