Saturday evening, February 17, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Pasowysty celebrated their tenth wedding anâ€" niversary in the midst of a large gathering of friends at their home in Grimsby. The affair was in the nature of a ‘surprise‘ party, preâ€" pared by Messrs. D. Laba and J. Kostiw â€" intimate friends of the couple. Toasts were offered by Rev. EFr. Ignace Lesiuk, OSBM Mr. and Mrs. T. Wysonsky, Mr. J. Halinsky, Mr. J. Kostiw and Mrs. A. Andreychuk. An anniversary, gift was presented by Mr. Dmytro Laba. Mr. and Mrs. M. Pasowysty were deeply moved ‘by their friends‘ affectionate expressions and, adâ€" mitting that the event was truly In the evening, an anniversay party was held at the Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pryhitka home commemorâ€" ating their 32 years of maried life. The guest visitor was Rev. Fr. B. Dziurman from Portage La Prairie. A tasty repast was preâ€" pared by the women of the parish. Congratulations were extended by Mr. and Mrs. T. Wysnosky, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Duschak, Mr. and Mrs. B. Palmer and Mr. Peter Onesyk. Daughters of the couple, also, expressed their happiness on behalf of their parents‘ anniverâ€" sary. Gifts were presented from the family and from the parish. The delightful evening was conâ€" cluded by Rev. Father N. Kohut‘s| address stating his great joy on| noting the intimate love which, prevails amongst the pari'shioners.l February 17, Rev. Father Basil Dziurman of Portage La Prairie arrived in Grimsby in affairs conâ€" cerning the Mission Society of St. Josaphat in Canada. The Reverâ€" end Father is secretary of the Mission Society whose concern is to offer monetary support to all needy parishes of the Ukrainian Catholic Diocese of Canada. Recent reports disclose the Society‘s wonâ€" derful achievements in its charitâ€" able work. On this occasion, Sunâ€" day, February 18, Solemn Mass was celebrated by the visiting priest. In the afternon, a lecture was delivered in the Church Hall by Father Dziurman, who was inâ€" troduced by the Basilian Superior Father Nicholas Kohut, OSBM, pertaining to the Missionn Society. The parishioners were in large atâ€" tendance and responded generousâ€" ly to the Society‘s appeals as statâ€" ed by Rev. Fr. Dziurman. Enâ€" velopes were distributed to convey the generous sums which the parâ€" ishioners wished to contribute. Rev.
