Elects Officers The Grimsby Branch of the Woâ€" men‘s Christian Temperance Union held their annual meeting on Wedâ€" nesday of last week at the home of Mrs. T. Murphy, Mountain Street. The year‘sâ€" reports proved most gratifying and indicated that this branch ranks next to St. Catharâ€" ines in progress being made.. The special subject of the afternoon was "Health, Heredity and Alcoâ€" hol", and resulted in a lengthy and interesting discussion. The May meeting of the Grimsby Mothers‘ Club, and incidentally, the final regular meeting before the summer months, took the form of a delightful picnic at the home of Mrs. George A. Silver, Oak Street, on Thursday of last week. 17 mothers and 29 children were presâ€" ent, the latter participating in a peanut hunt and games, which were provided following the disâ€" posal of regular business. Generâ€" ous quantities of ice cream cones were distributed to the delight of the children. At the conclusion of the afternoon lunch was served by the refreshment committee. The next meeting will not take place until September. On Tuesday, June 6th, the third inoculation against diphtheria will be administered to the preâ€"school age children at a clinic to be held at the public school on Tuesday, June 6th, at 9 a.m. Children may also be vaccinated for smallpox at this time.
