Mr. Gaby outlined the plans of the line between Toronto, Hamilton and St. Catharines. This line starts at Bay street, Toronto, is doubleâ€"trackâ€" ed for about a mile and from that point parallels the Grand Trunk to Long Branch. This line, said Mr. Gaby, would run on the same grade as the Grand Trunk to Long Branch, with no level crossings. Between Long Branch and Oakville it would have the same crossings as the Grand Trunk. After reaching Oakville it was proposed to take over the presâ€" ent Dominion Power Transmission lines now in operation, instead of duplicating them. The estimates inâ€" clude a reproduction of the cost of this line from Oakville to Burlington, but it was hoped the present line would be acquired. From Burlingâ€" ton a new line would be constructed into Hamilton, 7%& miles long, saving half an hour as compared with the present Beach line entrance. The purchase of this Beach line was not contemplated. The Hamilton terminâ€" al would be at James street, some 2,000 feet from the city hall. â€"~ Parallel Grand Trunk The line from Hamilton to St. Kitts would parallel the Grand Trunk to Red Hill and from there run neat the present H. G. & B. line on to St. Catharines. The present estimate, said Mr. Gaby, included the cost of right of, way already purchased. These estimates included twoâ€"thirds of the cost of a terfuinal at Toronto. The estimated cost of the Torontoâ€" Hamilton line was $9,864,665, and the Hamilton and Niagara division to St. Catharines $3,593,182. W. 8.
