Robert Bayes has returned to his home here after spending the wintet in the Northwest. Richard and Mrs. Grant received a telegram on May 2, stating that their son, Driver William E. Grant, had died of wounds in France. He had been overseas since February, 1916, going with the Sportsman‘s Batâ€" talion from Hamilton and had never been wounded before. Will was born near Coistorville and his whole life was spent in this community, until he enlisted. Besides his parents he is survived by three. prothers, Gordon, of Alberta; Miles, of Smithville and James in the trenceres, and two sisâ€" ters, Misses May and Myrtle at home. The deepest sympathy goes out to the stricken farmily. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 20, at 2.30 p.m. in the church here. Quarterly services were held at this appointment on Sunday morning with a good attendance. Mrs. Allan Green is attending the Branch Convention of the W.M.S. at St. Catharines.
