Larry Reid in the Dixie nets also looked good and if he can keep up the good work under pressure, the injured Jim Keough may have trouble getting his job back. He is sitting out witn a finger injury and is probâ€" ably out for a couple of weeks. Pete Turner got Goodyears away on a winning note at 14.49 Lakeshore Goodyears picked up three of a possible four points for a profitable opening week in Metro Group Jr. Hockey action. Lakeshore doubled the score on Dixie 4â€"2 in the home opener on Thursday night and then moved into Georgetown to gain a 4â€"4 tie on Friday night. Tonight the surprising Etobiâ€" coke Indians come into Lakeâ€" shore Arena hoping to add to their point total. Etobicoke won their first two starts last week and were the only team with a perfect 2â€"0 win record as the iniâ€" tial week ended. FIELDS SCORES. Dove Fields scored Lakeshore‘s third goal in the second period last Thursday night as Goodyears deâ€" feated Dixie Beehives 4â€"2 at Loakeshore Arena. Dixie netâ€" minder Larry Reid still has his glove out but the shot went FINA PRODUCTS Birmingham & Fifteenth Sts. Basil Gasdia 259. As is usual when these two clubs play, they went by the book and produced a crowd pleasing, cleanly played same. Dixie picked up five minors and Lakeshore four. Clarke Anderson got the equalâ€" izer for Dixie following a Jim Stanfield pass at 16.37 and this came with Lakeshore‘s Brian Glennie serving a holding penalâ€" ty. Anderson played for Weston Dodgers last year and his release from that club came through just before game time and Dixie manâ€" ager Howard Pallett rushed to sign him. of the first period with Jim Moore and Doug Dunnville getâ€" ting in on the assists. Gord Sherâ€" wood of Dixie was sitting in the cooler serving a boarding penalâ€" ty at the time. MacNeil hadn‘t expected to be cleared in time to play on Thursâ€" day night and played 58 minutes of football for his Alderwood Collegiate club on Thursday aftâ€" ernoun and was obviously a worn out athlete as the hockey game progressed.
