However, this sitâ€" uation has been relieved and I think the residents of the area owe a great deal of thanks to the staff of the school for makâ€" ing sure that not one child was hurt in all the traffic. It was very easy to overlook a tiny child running from between the parked cars yet every class wasi instructed to waich the traffic and the children coâ€"operated with the problem very well. Also deâ€" spite the fact that the school lawn has been badly worn since there is nowhere else: for the children to walk. the front of the school, the flower beds and trees look lovely amidst the dust and dirt of the construction site. The shifting of classes and genâ€" eral settling down to curriculum is completed and the construcâ€" tion inconvenience will only last a matter of ten days or so now. Please be patient, parents. for the staff have been working unâ€" der poor conditions and the conâ€" stant complaints of parents and children have not been very graâ€" tifying for a group of teachers who are making the best of the| situation. We shall soon have our _ usual . efficient .well â€"run school without the crowded classâ€" rooms of former years and with out the portables. BELMAR PARK Calico Drive Public School was not quite completed when the school term began and there was quite a bit of confusion the first few days. Also there was quite a bit of traffic on Calico Drive Since this is the preâ€"election edition of this newspaper I have only one reminder for the resiâ€" dents of Yorkview riding and that is to vote as you likeâ€"but vote. With the increasing numâ€" ber of elections thrown upon us in the past few months, I know it is easy to sit back and say nothing has changed and my vote doesn‘t count, but just think what would happen if everyone took that attitude; so let‘s see a recordâ€"breaking turnout at the polis come Sentember 25. ‘The Prestige Cleaner‘ Promplrl’ick-l.rp & Delivery OAKDALE HEIGHTS iliary, Royal Canadian Legion, paid a visit recently to the Toronto Tuberculoâ€" sis Hospital to distribute gifts and well wishes. On the school scene, all seems back to normal now and despite the new homes and additional residents in the school district, the classrooms are not as yet too crowded.
