CARE of Canada is moving to the aid of disaster victims in the south of Italy where more than half a million people have betn isolated by storms. Further peril looms in the form of floods when the heavy snows begin to melt, the CARE mission chief in the area has reported. More than 600 communities in central and southern Italy are cut off from the outside world by the worst snow storm in 30 years. The food packages that mean relief for the stricken people are warehoused in Italy. Each parcel contains 22 pounds of milk powder, cheese and butter. CARE officials have appealed to Canadians for public contriâ€" butions of $1. per package to inâ€" crease the volume of aid to the storm victims.
