It is the com- munity interest and activities that keep up the growth and development. As you note the wonderful development of Weston, York Townshi ' Etobicoke Township, Swansea and Scarlet gums. you will note that there has been a community spirit engendered by service clubs, councils, ratepayers' associa- tions, and private groups of citizens who have gone out to build their respective communities. West Toronto had this spirit and still has the organizations that can so out and do the same work. If communities are to maintain their identity there must be community groups who are working all the time for the establishment of community enterprises. This is what attracts attention and brings life to the community. Those who have been responsible for the growth of the suburban communities are to be congratu- lated upon their success. Those who are interested in the further development of West Toronto are called upon to exercise more activity. Not only has the Christ Who came into the world as a nnsom for sinful mankind been “fused admittance into many churches, but also, many homes and hearts reject Him as well. It naturally follows that it is impossible to have Godly homes where the Bible is loved and eagerly read, until the parents have let the Lord Jesus come into their hearts, and have accepted Him persosully as their own personal Saviour. However, Jesus recognize: our free wills, for He will not force His way through any barred doors, whether it be in our churches, our homes, or the hearts of individuals. It wan to the lukewarm, ult- satiafied church of Laodicea that John wrote these words, "Behold I stand at the door and knock: it any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will mp with him, and he with me.†(Rev. 3: 20). While these words were spoken to the church of Laodicea, it is and to uy that they are just as applicable to many churches in our own day and axe. Churches which fail to prelch the justification of sinners through the atoning work of Christ on the' cross at Calvary, could well nail the words "Laodicea" above their) doors.
