In the year 1828, a little frame church was erected on the banks of the Humber river. It was to genie the community and town of Weston, then situated on the west bank of the river. In the year 1890, a fire in a building across the road not light to the roof of the frame church which burned to the ground, the only thing being saved was the organ, still in use today.
