She spent most of her life at Smithfield and married James Ella about 75 years ago. He passed on very suddenly and her two daughâ€" ters also were taken, She was left a young widow to raise four sons (Albert and Garfield, stil living, and Ernest and Leslie, who preâ€" deceased her), After her boys were raised to manhood she married George Hill and took into her heart and home his granddaughter, Ann McGregor, who has been so faithâ€" ful through her sickness. A brother, James Sanderson, and sisâ€" ter, Mrs. Cook, survive; also two sons and nine grandchildren and 12 greatâ€"grandchildren. Mrs. Hill was a very active and faithful worker in church and community activities and was a good mother and neighâ€" bor and will be missed by many friends who enjoyed her cheery disposition, She was buried from Ward‘s Funeral ~Home â€" Friday, March 30. Rev. J. Kell conducted the funeral service and spoke highâ€" ly of her. He was a regular visitor at both her home in Smithfield and at Weston, The six grandsons were pallbearers.
