There. is romp" in this town for more stores, There like trouytriivinss to be made by our merchants, but it Will not come unless there is a persistent effort put forth by our ‘men to bring that trade here. With this in view, it should be held iii mind that by a co-operative effort our business section could be made more atVactive. There could be amusiness siection in the town ot Ives.. ton that woutd'attract shoppers and make it possible for individuals to gather something ot the Value of the town as a' business centre. With our streets well lighted, our stores paying extra attention to their window dis- plays, the vacant lots filled up with new buildings, then we can look tor more business and greater results. This needs therleadevship of our busi- ness men to put it across right. There is a general feeling abroad that the time has come for positive action on the part of the citizens ot this town. For many years there has been talk of what great natural loca- tion Weston has been favored with. Some of those who have been ener- getie and have seen the great beauties that surround the town have tried to bring this before the public. They have worked hard and have accom- pli-shed a great deal, Because of the lack of co-operation by the whole community they have been hampered. Still, the plans and work is waiting to, be conipletedr' Is this not the work of-the whole community? Is this not the year to take action and do some- thing that will develop our natural beauty spots? Yes, this is one of the great 1921 enterprises that should re- ceive the co-operation of the com- munity. Fix up the park, lay out the proposed driveway, select streets and parks that can be adorned with trees and shrubs or flowers. Let the in- dividual citizen plan to have his lawn laid out to the best advantage. Thus the whole town will present a picture to our visitors this year, The second great enterpritse that this town should undertake is a very important one. Nothing should be left undone to encéurag‘e the building ot more houses in the town.
