Nellis Wardlaw, During the holiday season the Suburban Railway handled a large crowd of passengers. It certainly is very gratifying to the share hoiders to learn that this road between Wesâ€" ton and Toronto is paying so well. There is no other means of getting out to or from Mount Dennis at presâ€" ent. Weston has of courseâ€" a train service, but it is not very handy at present. Thus the suburban have the run. With the increasing population in both.districts better accommodaâ€" tion is necessary to bring the people to and from Toronto.. The question is is the Suburban Railway alive to their duties to serve the public or will they force competition. These people must be served and will be. served. \ People are not going to stand packâ€" ed into a car every night coming home from work. This could be overâ€" come by placing two extra cars runâ€" ning to St. John‘s Road switch, and the other to Weston during the rush hour. A little life on the railway comâ€" pany‘s part will relieve the situation and make all satisfied. Women of Canada, rise! s And make your armor fast, Strong in the strength that God supâ€" plies And constant to the last! Y Women of Canada, stand! You do not stand alone. For British hearts in every land Will beat about the throne! Women of Canada, toil! Sow seed and gather grain, Care for the stock and till the soil, Till peace shall come again! Women of Canada, pray, Your prayers shall rise above, And ‘soldiers fighting far away Will bless your deeds of love. Catharine Imia Merritt, U.E.L, Â¥3.â€" Toronto.
