A Canadian oceanographic research vessel will visit Japan in early October to take part in an industrial exhibition in Tokyo. The visit of CSS Parizeau will coincide with two conâ€" ferences to be held in Tokyo October 4 to 9, the Second International _ Ocean Development Conference and Ocean Development Exhibition, and the Technical Conference on the Means, Acquisition and communication of Ocean Data. Pacific reg io n a l hydrographer Mike Bolton, coordinator of the Parizeau visit, will present a paper at the Ocean Development Conference describing latest Canadian _ hydrographic surveying techniques. While in Tokyo harbor, the research vessel will hold open house for delegates attending conferences. It is also expected that the ship will be open to the public for at least one day.
