The Rev. John C. Bouvier, pastor of St. Jude‘s Roman Cathâ€" olie Church in Weston, is the proud owner of a brand new sedan, thanks to his more than 2500 parishioners. Father was presented with the automobile in a special ceremony last Sunday afternoon, which marked the 25th anniversary of his ordinaâ€" tion as a priest and his third year at St. Jude‘s. Father Bouvier was born and raised in Toronto and taught at St. Augustin‘s Seminary before going to St. Jude‘s in 1961. 25 Years Service To Church Parish Presents Priest With Car The presentation, which inâ€" cluded insurance and lifeâ€"time servicing for the car, was made by Harold Baxter, president of the Holy Name Society, and Bill Colville. Floral and spiritual tributes were presented by Mrs. Lee Disney, president of the Catholic Women‘s League, John Rutherâ€" ford, a Grade 8 pupil at St. Jude‘s School and Susan Finâ€" negan, 10, who presented a bouâ€" quet to Father Bouvier‘s mother. Recognition of the work that has been done over the years by Mrs. Nancy Bullmore was given on Tuesday evening, on the eve her departing for a trip to the continent. She has given of herâ€" self without any reservation as a leader in various church deâ€" partments. It has been and efâ€" fective leadership that one can look back upon with satisfaction. A donation from the friends was given to help her enjoy her trip home. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hume gave a showing of their pictures takâ€" en on their last trip to the conâ€" tinent. They have a beautiful collection of colored slides deâ€" picting beauty and art and they give an excellent commentry of the important points visited. Sunday morning, badges of honor, were awarded three of the Girls Auxiliary by the Recâ€" tor, the Rev. Harvey Scuse. These girls were commend for their study and work given to win the badges. It speaks for the leadership that is given to this ew group only a year old. Saturday is the day of days for the Church school. It is their anâ€" nual picnic held at Glen Happy Conservation Park on the 20th of June and is for the whole congregation. _ This _ delightful spot gives a new vision of life after you have spent the afterâ€" noon and had supper with your fellow workers of the Church.
