L ‘The once redâ€"hot Etobicoke Inâ€" dians have suddenly cooled. Now its appears they are on the verge of losing their exclusive hold on first place in the western section of the Metro Junior B hockey league. As a result of two losses reâ€" cently in games they should not have lost they find themselves in a tie for first place with Wesâ€" ton Dodgers. Dodgers are the hottest team in, the loop right now, having played their last fifâ€" teen games without tasting deâ€" feat At home on Tuesday Indians were edged 4â€"3 by Lakeshore Goodyears and the previous ‘Thursday they looked completely inept and were drubbed by Brampton Seven Ups 9â€"4 in Brampton. In their next two games Etobiâ€" coke will have an ideal chance to redeem themselves and reafâ€" firm their grip on first place, held by them since their‘ first game of the season. PP pmesas ues Tomorrow night Etobicoke plays at Weston and then on ‘Tuesday both clubs return to Central Arena for two of the most crucial games of the season. Indeed a series to decide first place P By wacthing the play of Inâ€" dians in their last two games one would perhaps think the issue is pretty much decided before the games are played. Etobicoke canâ€" not hope to cope with Weston the way they are playing. Perhaps complacency has set in for the Indians. They have been in first place all season; no one can touch them; they can get up for the big ones, win when they have to; take care of the soâ€"called easy games with little trouble. But can they? At home on Tuesday they didn‘t look that bad and with a few breaks early in the game could perhaps have scored a few goals and won. But in the preâ€" vious match at Brampon they played as if they were seventeen games in front and playing the last place club. Indians do not have any of the spark that distinguished them earlier in the season. As a team they seem _ confused and sluggish. io n oo on o . ©f [ By comparison Lakeshore oni"‘ oidinetnd Tuesday were playing with a!_ JOneS will new found source of vitality.
