Village Seventhâ€"day Adventist church and were distributed on December 18. Pastor A. J. Mustard noted that a good number of items were used to fill these bushel baskets and a money voucher was also included. Seventh Day Adventists Food for the baskets was obâ€" tained by the church. The 48 toy gifts included in the baskets for the children of these families were obtained by a special drive conâ€" ducted by Carl K. Scheult from the members in this church. Prepared Food Baskets Directing the preparation of Christmas baskets was Mrs. Richâ€" ard E. Bottomley of 8 Maypole St., Islington. She was assisted by members of the church‘s Dorcas Welfare Society. Pastor Mustard noted that this is the second year the Adventist church has assembled Christmas baskets for families in Etobicoke area since moving to this location over a year ago from the city of Toronto where this custom has been done for many years.
