My past term as your Trustee has proved to be both exciting and challenging. Following are some issues that I have been working on: TRAFFIC LIGHTS APPROVED â€" I am pleased to report that I have received written confirmation from the Metro Transportation Dept. that the traffic lights for Weston Road & King Street have been approved. We can hopefully see them in place in early spring. I would like to thank Councillor McDonald, Mayor Brown and Chairman Tonks for their help in this endeavour. The lights at Ralph St. & Lawrence are still under review, and I arn hopeful to have a report on this intersection very shortly. WARD 6 SCHOOLS HONOUR METRO POLICEMAN â€" on Remembrance Day, I along with student representatives, planted a tree and unveiled a rock with a plaque, in remembrance of Constable Todd Baylis, who was killed in the line of duty this past spring. The memorial is situated at the Trethewey Park, Black Creek and Trethewey. Todd spent a great deal of time in our schools, and I think it was befitting that we remembered him in this way. HERE COMES SANTA CLAUS â€" Ward 6 Schools will once again be taking part in this year‘s parade. Watch for the newly formed Weston Collegiate Marching Band, and school Float Entries! The 3rd annual Community Christmas Party will once again be held at Weston Collegiate after the Parade. All Welcome! With the elections just around the corner, I would like to ask for your continued support. I am committed to continue to serve this community. Over this past term I have interacted with the community and have brought your concerns to the Board on many occasions. I have also kept you informed and involved. Your support on November 14th will allow this representation to continue. As always if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at 394â€"4454.
